Urban Earth is an exploration of our city landscape from the perspective of found materials and hidden places. Felt making, botanical inks and eco-printing combine to map a familiar terrain in a new way. The tactile art works play with texture, gravity and tension to encourage close interaction from the audience. Although the forms may be unfamiliar, the natural colours and materials provide connection to the earth and a sense of home. Many of these works were created during a period of lockdown in 2020, in response to the restricted (yet abundant) spaces of the local environment.

Urban Earth was exhibited at Art hole gallery in July 2020. Selected works are available for purchase, please enquire for details.
